The love of Christ which so deeply influenced the apostle that he gave his whole life in unflagging zeal to his service must be something quite exceptional. Paul was so affected, he says, because we are convinced that one has died for all. It was not some vague idea of Christ’s goodwill that moved him, but rather the fact that one has died for all.
